Dan Whittle - Lead Technician
Dan’s history with Chuck starts back even further then Chuck’s Car Care. Dan and Chuck have a life-long friendship that started when Dan’s family moved to Oak Ridge when Dan was in High School. In fact, Dan actually lived with Chuck’s family during their senior year when his family decided to go back to California. Dan started working for Chuck’s father at his used car lot that year. At the same time that Chuck’s Car Care was getting started Dan decided to move closed to family and moved back to California. While there he began working for a muffler shop but it was not long before he was back in Tennessee. When Dan returned he started working at Chuck’s Car Care. Although he cared and appreciated Chuck he eventually decided it was time to further his education within the automotive industry and decided to leave Chuck’s Car Care. After Chuck’s, he began working for dealerships. He worked at Krebs Chevrolet for a few years and then moved over to Rodger’s Cadillac where he spent the bulk of his career. During his fourteen years with Cadillac he worked on and received his ASE Master Certification. After some time he decided to try his hand at opening his own shop. This was nice for awhile but he decided to go back to the dealerships. Dan eventually came back to Chuck’s Car Care and has been back with Chuck’s for six years and is our lead technician.
With twenty-five plus years of experience in the automotive repair industry, Dan continues to hold his ASE Master Certifications and is constantly pushing everyone to continue their training and service classes. “It is one of the things that set us apart from our competitors.” Dan says. Dan lives in Anderson County and has a ten-year old son; D.J. Dan is very active in his church (Crossroads Christ Fellowship) where he is the media director. When he is not chasing D.J. around Dan enjoys riding his Harley and you can always find him holding down a chair at the local Starbucks drinking a Dan Special(ask him what it is).
